Aegean Airlines is a Greek airline based in Kifisia, which was founded in 1987. It is the largest airline in its country and was originally founded under the name Aegean Aviation. With the purchase of the airline by the Vassilakis Group in 1994, the company grew steadily and it was for new Learjets purchased. The current name Aegean Airlines then got the airline in 1999.
